Job Description

Sneaky Games is looking for a Game Developer with experience in online, web, and social networking games. This engineer is responsible for the rapid development of Object Oriented game code using technologies such as AS3 (Flash), C#, and Unity3d. This person should be detail focused but also capable of understanding the big picture. This is not a Flash art position or UI position – this is full game development.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with producers, designers, artists and other developers to implement game features
• Actively participate in the game development process, engaging the team, and resolving issues. Project/team experience is critical.
• Work directly with talented designers, artists, and production to ensure the smooth development of quality products. Work with production to break down high level goals into tasks and timelines
• Participate actively in software design discussions. Architect and implement new game frameworks and APIs when necessary, and work with other engineers on module integration
• Program both client- and server-side game code using Action Script 3 (AS3), C# and Unity

Job Qualifications

• Experience with .Net/C# (or similar like Java), SQL Server and related web server technologies desired
• Accurate time estimation and reporting skills and the ability to reassess estimates based on functionality changes
• Team player with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Able to work effectively with a dynamic team under deadline pressures in both new game and live development environments
• Experience running and maintaining a live online game a plus
• 2+ years combined experience developing games and/or data driven applications
• OO programming experience is required
• Understanding of UI design principles, interaction design guidelines and usability methodologies is considered a plus
• Experience with performance and code optimization a plus
• Ability to write clean and re-usable code and to maintain existing code required
• Knowledge of how to make things work across various OS and browser platforms a plus
• Advanced knowledge of HTML, HTML5, XHTML, XML, CSS, REST, JSON, and JavaScript a plus
• Degree in computer science or equivalent a plus
